Posts being deleted?

Postby TedDBere » Sat Dec 19, 2009 2:15 pm

Why are my posts constantly being removed?

Is there a bug in the system, am I not allowed to post, or is one of the moderators filtering my posts?

I'd appreciate it being looked into. If you would prefer me not to participate, that's OK to, but I'd like to know. It's getting a bit ridiculous.

Scott,

I just reviewed the Admin, Moderator, and User logs and the last thing I can find that related to any of your posts was this thread:

http://phillyscca.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=5822

Jon Rush merged your topics and edited a post.

Aside from that, I don't see any other activity. There is not issue with you or your posts that I'm aware of. Can you provide any additional info?

I will check with Ted Rudolph, but I don't beleive we are having any issues with the database.

LOL...some people are just too serious.

A while ago, in the thread where someone was asking about his child with a permit autoxing, I responded to him with the policy in NJ allowing any legal driver to participate. That post vanished.

There were two posts in Eric's thread on his cars that disappeared. One was when I asked him if there were any cars he regrets selling. It disappeared and I reposted the question.

Then again, when he posted about his new civic I commented that it looked like it was a great "sleeper" car...and that post vanishing prompted my question. His recent response, "that's why I bought it, I can't wait to beat up on some Z06s!", even looks like he was responding to my comment, but the quoted comment is different from mine.

My first thought was the forum software was being updated and I happened to post during those updates and my posts were not captured during the process, but since it keeps happening I'm starting to get paranoid and thought I'd mention it to you guys.

Happy holidays to everyone.

Are you hitting submit after you preview? I've forgotten to do that a few times and closed the window and lost the post. It's easy to do, because the preview looks a lot like you've posted.

Well, given my advancing age that's a good possibility.

That sounds plausible. It took me awhile to get used to the buttons and lost a few posts from that. Mostly because the "Preview" and "Submit" buttons seem to be reversed from other forums I post on.
